Former Professor and Head of the Department of Cardiology, Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. Former Director of Kerala Heart Foundation and Honorary Cardiologist to the Governor of Kerala. He worked in medical education service for 36 years and has trained several MD and DM students during the last three decades. He has 72 publications in national and international journals. Former President of the Kerala chapters of the Cardiological Society of India, Indian Academy of Echocardiography, Interventional Cardiology Council of Kerala and Indian College of Cardiology. He is well versed in coronary interventions, pacemaker implantations and echocardiography techniques. He is an invited faculty for most cardiology meetings within the state and at the national level. He has guided several research projects related to cardiology during the last three decades. He has also been an examiner for DM Cardiology for several universities in the country as well as for the National Board.
